Varsity Head Coach Lexi Halvorson

Coach Lexi Halvorson grew up in Lakeville, MN as a multi sport athlete and began playing lacrosse in the Spring of 2005 during her fourth grade year. She graduated from Lakeville South High School in 2013 as an All-State Defender and Draw Specialist where her favorite memories include playing with her sister Logan Halvorson and losing to Lakeville North to go to State that same year, after going 12-1 in four short weeks due to the Minnesota winter delaying state wide game play until May 10th

She went on to play for the inaugural NCAA Lacrosse Team at Augsburg (College) University captaining the team for two consecutive years.  Her favorite memories from Augsburg include taking the first official collegiate draw in Minnesota, becoming neighbors and roommates with teammates, and watching the other MIAC schools add Women’s Lacrosse to their varsity sports lineup.

Lexi has being coaching high school lacrosse for 10 years and frequently offers to coach youth lacrosse when the season ends. Her favorite parts of coaching are preseason, getting to know each program and athlete she works with individually and growing the sport of lacrosse in the state of Minnesota. She spent three years with True Lacrosse MN coaching many teams at local and regional tournaments, learning from all state coaches, and becoming more familiar with the recruiting process.  Lexi has also been a co-Director of XCelerate Nike Camp and served on the MSLax Board for the past 3 years.

Lexi is a preschool teacher and the owner of a small events business. She loves her friends, good food, lacrosse and Vikings football.

“I want to thank the Northfield Community for welcoming me and trusting me to help grow the sport of lacrosse. I’m excited to see what we can do!”
